Last week, Nivea and Mango teamed up for the Nivea Glam Express event. So even if I was all green and sickly, I still attended coz I didn’t want to miss the tie-up of two brands I absolutely adore. <3
Here’s what I wore to the event. Wasn’t feeling well so I opted for something comfy – with 6 inch heels. π Separate outfit post to follow π
When I got to the Mango store in Rockwell, I was immediately greeted by an offer to join the styling competition. I went there alone but we had to be in groups of 2/3 to join the game. Luckily, I met awesome people Dyna and Stephanie who grouped with me. We were given a peg to copy and the challenge was that we had to be real quick because the group to style the fastest wins.Β The theme we had to work with was Bohemian. π
After minutes of rushing around the store grabbing all the boho clothes we could find, we finally came up with this look:
Oh, btw, im the one wearing the clothes because one person from the team had to be the model, and the rest stylists. They coerced me into being the model! haha kidding. You know how much I love dressing up. π
with new found friends and groupmates Dyna and Stephanie. π I super like how they styled the outfit. It may not be as boho as it should, but I would definitely wear something like this. <3 Clothes, bag, scarf and ring from Mango. π
Before I announce the winners, lemme share some pics. The Glam Express event actually introducedΒ three things: the new Nivea Express Hydration Lotion, Mango’s FW Collection and a new Facebook app called Glam Board Express. π
Ms. Raisa Mislang and Ida Dizon, Brand Managers of Nivea, talked about their new product the Nivea Express Hydration Lotion. They pointed out that skin is an essential fashion asset, which is, of course, true. We were able to sample it in the store and true enough, the lotion really does give your skin a nice glow aside from it making your skin soft. I probably shouldve used it before posing for the camera. π I will next time though since I got some bottles. π
Here’s a peek of Mango’s FW collection that Ms. Karen Chikiamco, Country Manager of Mango, talked about. Will be making a diff. post of Mango’s new clothes so wait for that. π
and last but not least, Yehey! Corporation’s General Manager, Mr. Jay Arellano gave us a sneak peek of the Facebook Application that they’ll be launching tomorrow, Aug. 18, called the Glam Board Express. It’s like Polyvore and Looklet where you can create different outfits but a lot easier and accessible coz it’s on Facebook! Plus, the clothes you’ll be choosing from in creating looks are clothes from Mango so your outfits are sure to be fashionable. π I personally can’t wait to try this app! π OH OH OH and you know what, if you create looks you get a chance to win daily goodies from NIVEA and weekly shopping money from Mango! #whatisawesome! So, dear reader, I think you and I will be competing for these awesome prizes. haha when I do get to try it out, I’ll post some pics of the looks I created just to give you a feel of the app. π
I also saw some friends during the event. Say hello to fellow fashion blogger, Vern Enciso π
It was really nice seeing you again, Vern! and it was lovely meeting your sister, Vernice! You both looked super gorgeous that night. <3
here’s a pic of me with fellow blogger (who’s waaaay more popular) and long-time friend, Jeff Cape. π It was really nice seeing you! Let’s hang again soon, k? π
Now, let me share who won the contest. We didn’t, just so you know. haha
the girls who won third place are the pretty Enciso sisters! I was really happy that Vern was there. <3 They were able to come up with an outfit in 10 minutes. π
The very post Stylebible.ph team came in second. They came up with an outfit in 9 minutes. π
and here are the pretty winners who were able to style in 4 minutes. π They won goody bags and Mango watches. π Congrats girls! π
Don’t be sad for me though coz I didn’t leave empty handed. Since both Mango and Nivea are super generous, we got goodie bags! π Thank you so much to Mango and Nivea for these awesome items I cannot wait to use! π
and last but not least, thank you so much to Jeff and Joanna for the invite! π
