For some reason, I feel like I’m mid-transit. (Although, I did just get back and am hopping off again soon.) And while I still need to unpack and then re-pack, I can’t help but create a mental checklist of the garments I need to bring. Coz honestly, I am a terrible packer. I don’t even remember a time when I finished even an hour prior to leaving the house. Cabs/cars arrive and I’m still zipping everything up (well, maybe except going back to Manila coz I’m usually really antsy to get back home. Oh wait, I take that back. Still very last minute.)

Aside from being a serial procrastinator, I am also a rather moody packer. I stuff pieces that I am drawn to while packing that more often than not do not elicit the same level of liking once already thousands of miles away from the rest of my closet.

So to help me pack, or maybe just dress and shop in general, I collated some outfits Polyvore-style (see I told you this will be a sort of constant-ish category in this blog) that are probably more suited for the beach but I would still wear regardless of water’s presence.

To all you big spenders, it’s the post-July-4th-sale so prices have been dropped (a whole lot). I, on the other hand, have come to terms with the fact that I probably wouldn’t get to wear that Acne skirt + Lanvin sandals combo nor those Charlotte Olympia wedges. (Fun fact: I actually wrote never but I stopped myself from The Secret-ing negativity). Computing cost per wear of those pieces, especially together, won’t make me feel any better.

What I can totally abuse though – and hopefully easily justify spending my money on – is the upcoming Great Northern Sale at SM City North Edsa. They have items up to 70% off for three days from July 19th ’til July 21st. I also found out that even your dining experience will be discounted (and the foodie in me is ecstatic.)

I don’t know about you but I’m already saving the date (the first day, no less) as my shopping day. Then maybe I could put these virtual outfits – heavily embedded in my brain – to good use and find pieces similar to those darling Charlotte Olympia’s.

Slim chance? We’ll see.
