FINALS ARE OVER! I’M BACK!
Anyway, got soooo much posts (aka a LONG list of backl0gs) to share with you so expect lots and lots of posts. π
Lemme start by sharing some pictures from finals week. Please take note, this is a HUGE step for me because I don’t like showing my haggard face to people. HAHA
So we had our finals in SoFA last week. It was crazy. There were too many projects (seriously), tests and ummmm, break downs. Yes, I tend to break down when I’m extremely stressed. π
Last week was also the no make-up, no-time-to-dress-nicely week. The peg according to my gorgeous friend, Nicole Ramos, was Pambahay dressing. So expect ginormous eyebags, bare faces and tired eyes from us (or rather, me).
Okay fine, I’ll just show you pics. no more excuses.
Okay, so last Wednesday, we had our finals for our Clothing Evolution class. we had to come up with a 10 piece collection inspired by a fusion of an era and a decade. I decided to merge Egyptian and 60s Mod. So there were a lot of shift dresses, mummified garments, triangles, and gold. I felt pressured doing the project because our professor, the awesome Fold Canela, invited a panel from the industry to judge our work. There were three awards given: Best Merchandise, Best Concept and Best Collection.
I totes forgot to take pics of my project. I told you, I was stressed. (If I do get the chance, I’ll take pics and share them with you). But but but but but but but, I won Best Concept!!!! I won it together with a friend, Wang-u, but there was only one ribbon. so we had to share. haha
Wang-u and I, best concept babies. Teehee so happy I got a ribbon π Oh he fused Amazon and the 80s. π
Me with Tipay Caintic. She won the Best Merchandise award. This girl is just too talented! Here’s a pic of what she came up with:
She mixed Rococo and Punk. Super smart and creative. You can’t really see the details but those lace up garments had skulls! Hers was definitely my favorite. π
A classmate, Mae, won Best Collection, but I don’t have a picture of her stuff either. π *bad blogger*
My professor and judges. super star-studded! L-R: Designer/ProfessorΒ Fold Canela, stylist Eldzs Mejia, Status art director Soleil Ignacio, and Mega’s fashion editor, Angela Alarcon. Β Thank you so much for that ribbon! π
Had a mini-party after the “exhibit”/finals. Actually, we’ve been having mini-parties a lot this week. Here are some pics from the “party” we had in our Phil. Fashion class. Okay, this time I have pics of what I did for finals, and will share em with you in the next post. π
Two of my favorite people in school, my professors! π Meet THE Danilo Franco and THE Loida Hunter. Sir Dan is my prof in Phil. Fashion and Fashion Illustration and Ms. Loids is my Pattern-Making professor. π
More favorite people, Tippi Sy and Patricia Prieto. Love these girls to bits! <3
Me with the Imelda of SoFA, Shen Jarlega. π
Pat, Mabel (another love of mine) and myself. π As we were taking pictures…
…we realized something…we had matching outfits. HAHA
we totes looked like we were in a girl band Β with Pat as the lead singer just because she was wearing a shiny top. HAHA kidding. π love you babe! π
oh and you wanna know what makes us happy? You know, what helps us get by despite all that stress.
A can of coke and awesome food. π
So there. Just wanted to share the crazy week I had. I’m off for two weeks and am going back to school on the 26th. Will definitely sleep during the break. π
More posts to come. π
Damn, I missed blogging.
