I love this video! Awesome work, Judd! 🙂

Anyway, going back to the outfit post, the pics were taken in our backyard in Michigan. More pics from that trip soon. 🙂

Oh, and Katy Perry (if for some weird reason you get to see this), I am a fan! hahaha #sabaybawi

Got tons of backlogs but I’m trying to make up for that by posting what I wore…yesterday! haha 😉

Wore this to school and a book launch after (the details of which are reserved for a different blog post). Wanted a nautical vibe. Failed. I remembered this skirt that I owned (that I haven’t seen in 2 years, mind you) that would have been perfect for that Anchor’s-Away/I’m-On-A-Yacht-Feel. In my head the outfit was awesome. In reality, the outfit did not exist (yes, the skirt’s still MIA).

The look ended up entirely different, and better, I might add, thanks to my awesome NAVA skirt. 🙂 And nope, no accessories this time. Tried to really balance out the ‘mess’ – stripes, animal print, colorful knits – by keeping everything else bare, or black.

BTW. To those who think my bag is cute and awesome (haha), I have good news for you. There’s a whole lot more where that came from. And and and, they’re on sale! haha Abby Jocson is having an end of season sale. Check this out 🙂

and some samples 😉

More bags in this album. Be sure to check that out 😉

also, check out one of my favorite stores, NAVA 🙂

Preview’s First Multi-Media Issue

Oh, the fashion industry is ever-changing and technology is now at its forefront. The Jan-Feb issue of Preview Magazine now has QR codes spread throughout the issue – codes that enable the readers to integrate Preview and This means getting exclusive pics, videos, articles and interviews on the web through your smartphones whenever, wherever. (this also equates to a bigger shopping guide for Fashion Steals and Fashion Workshop, PLUS, lots and lotsa PFW galleries.) #whattafeature

This is Preview’s first multi-media issue and it definitely won’t be their last. EIC Pauline Juan shows excitement over the “new year of experiencing the printed page”. Starting this month, all issues will now have QR codes throughout the issue. That’s something to look forward to.

But of course, to my non-techie friends (aka the non-smartphone friends), we still have the good ol’ glossy to keep us updated. My personal favorite this month is the Preview Trend Report which had gorgeous illustrations of modern-day fashion goddesses. I also really liked the editorial ‘My Tough Love’. Be sure to check that out. 😉

This issue also features Charice Pempengco (who looks very different now, btw). In Preview’s words, “the newest Preview cover girl talks about her humble beginnings, fame, and everything else in between.” Be sure to read that as well.

Oh here’s another reason why you should grab a copy: my boss is in it! 🙂 Here’s  the feature one of my favorite people in the world, Sarah Meier. 🙂

This issue also features…my face! HAHA (it’s about the voting which I told you about here. So don’t forget to vote!)

Preview is available in newsstands, bookstores and supermarkets nationwide. For your daily dose of fashion, visit, become a fan of Preview on Facebook via, and follow them on Twitter via

Fashion Blogger of the Year

To celebrate the bests of 2011, is doing a voting for all things best. They have Best Fashion Trend, Best Dressed Celebrity, Best Preview Cover,  and Style Star 2011 among others. Stylebible also has a Fashion Blogger of the Year category and to my surprise, I’m one of the bloggers in the list. 😐 (yipes!)

Okay, some people may say that it’s shallow that I’m getting extremely ecstatic and giddy over this. But stiiill. I find it so surreal that I’m one of the nominees.  (Yes, I talk about it like it’s the Golden Globes.)

The bloggers in list are Camille Co, Tricia Gosingtian, Laureen Uy, Shai Lagarde,    Aisa Ipac, Kookie Buhain, Lexi Gancayco and myself (as I typed ‘myself’ I was  resisting the urge to change the font size and make it tiny to match how I was saying it in my head). The reason for me being in the same list as these people escapes me. They are such inspirations to so many people (including me, of course) that I think it’s such an honor to even have my name alongside theirs. To put it simply, this whole thing has got me dumbstruck.

So to, thank you thank you thank you! You guys are the sweetest <3

Anyway, it would be AMAZING if you guys could go vote for your fashion blogger pick (well, if you vote for me that would be even better. HAHA). Here is the link:

Tiny little detail: you need to have an account to vote. But it’s absolutely easy to sign up. #justsayin anyway, votes would very much appreciated with each one getting me spiraling into my happy dance. HAHA

Check out the other categories and vote for your other favorites too here at

Oh and don’t forget to always check out . You can follow them on Twitter too @stylebibleph 😉

Again, thank you thank you thank you. This is such a blessing. Thank you. 🙂

Fringe Overboard

White fringe cropped top, TOPSHOP | Denim shorts, GAP | Stockings, FOREVER 21 | Boots, SOLE SERVICE | White tassel earrings, ROSA ARTISTICA | Winged skull and studded rings, PRISM

Photographed by: Tippi Sy (thank you, Tipper <3)

Wore this to school the week before Christmas break. Was having too much fun with fringe that day (those dangling little things give so much movement and bounce!) that I decided to go a bit overboard and wear more than one fringe piece.

Oh and that’s SoFA’s library you see in the background. I promise myself I will have my very own kick-ass mini lib in my future home (as compared to the mere bookshelf I have now. Still, I’m proud of that bookshelf. It’s overflowing with books. and dust.) Speaking of books, I just finished The Hobbit the other day and I’m in desperate need to find something else to read. Aleph perhaps? Gotta head out to the nearest bookstore stat.

Any suggestions? 😉

Another overdue post. Here goes.

I never really thought of myself as a boho blogger. Nor did I think my style was boho. To me it was more flirty and hubadera, to be quite honest. That’s til Ms. Vern Enciso called me on it. We were partners at this styling game & our strategy was to incorporate our personal styles. Then she goes ‘I wish they had wide-legged pants to capture your boho style.’ Hmmm.

Slowly, I guess I started to notice how my go-to pieces are usually flowy skirts, wide-legged pants, scarves, oversized sunglasses (I am a fan, seriously), fringe, tassels and a whole bunch of comfortable, loose garments – that are more often than not, way too big for my size. Sexy boho. (yep, the word sexy has to be there. HAHA I kid. Although now come to think of it, I’m not sure how loose pieces are considered sexy. and I’m rambling.)

So when I heard about the Candy Style Guide and how I would be under the style boho with none other than Ms. Danika Navarro, queen of bohemian herself, I thought ‘Okay. I’m labelled as a boho blogger now.’ haha not that I minded, I really liked it, actually. coz really, when you grab a copy of the book (which you should!), you could fit me in that description the most. I’m not exactly glam, not edgy, not classic, not indie, and not that girly. So boho it is! 😉

Here are some pics of my ‘appearances’ in the book 🙂

and just to make sure you know what you’re looking for, this is what the Candy Style Guide looks like. 🙂

There you go, please do grab a copy of the Candy Style Guide. Whatever your style is, I’m sure you’ll find an awful lot of tips and pegs. Your favorite bloggers are also there – from Tricia, to Rosanna, to Camille, to Vern, to Patricia, to Dan, to Raleene, Reese, Bestie, Laureen all the way to Kryz! that was a lot. phew.

Thank you so much to Candy Magazine for this. I’m so happy and honored to be a part of this. 🙂 Thank you also for sending me a copy along with such cuuuuute earrings! 😀

A personal shoutout to my friend, Sam Potenciano, the kickass chick behind this amazing style guide. Here’s a pic! (you’ll see her in the first few pages 😉 )

Thank you again for this! and thank YOU for buying a copy. 😉

oh and last, while you’re at it, grab a copy of the latest edition of Candy with Victoria Justice and Kylie Pineda on the cover. 🙂

I think I’ve been delaying blogging about the book because I don’t know how to do it justice. Another reason being I’m not sure how to translate how the process of putting the book together – to transcribing parts, to seeing the book for the very first time, to finally launching it at Fully Booked – inspired me. And I do know that if I merely share pics of the launch in my blog you won’t see the passion behind it and it wouldn’t be as inspiring as it should be. That being said, I will focus on the launch now, and when I settle down, will try to score an interview with the gorgeous authors to capture that essence. Okay? 😉

A video that I think you should watch. DONT LEAVE THIS POST WITHOUT WATCHING IT. 🙂

So when Sarah Meier and Vicky Herrera, the gorgeous girls of u92’s The Dollhouse, left the radio, they didn’t exactly leave for good. A year later, they ended up coming out with UNSCRIPTED, a compilation of several interviews they had with the Real OGs they got to talk to in their show (OG being Original Gangster, a pioneer in his/her respective field). A few names include Imelda Marcos, Gang Badoy, Carlos Celdran, Kuya Germs, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Jim Paredes, Raimund Marasigan and other big names.

They (or rather, we) finally launched the book at Fully Booked, High Street last Dec. 15. It started with the press con – which was pretty intimate, then the launch proper with the OGs and all the playmates and the people who love the Dolls. 🙂
